Matchweek #4 Predictions
Matchday #4 Predictions
FINALLY….FINALLY!! The international break is finally over, and the Premier League is back! Let's be honest, we're not fans of the international break—and if you are, well, we aren’t fans of you either.
Let’s get into the predictions. I love those words…We are so back.
(Note: Predicting scores will be used as a tiebreaker in the case that we predict the same outcome.)
Southampton vs. Man United:
Nathan’s Prediction: 2-1 Man United
Seth’s Prediction: 3-1 Man United
Southampton might be a team that Man United can beat and that they should beat…Right? Also, this game is at 5:30 am this Saturday (Don’t know if we are waking up for this one).
Crystal Palace vs. Leicester:
Nathan’s Prediction: 2-1 Crystal Palace
Seth’s Prediction: 2-2 Draw
This one’s shaping up to be a good game. Neither team has found the back of the net much, but with both conceding an average of 1.67 goals per match, we should see a few goals in this one.
Fulham vs. West Ham
Nathan’s Prediction: 1-1 Draw
Seth’s Prediction: 2-1 West Ham
West Ham takes on Fulham (aka Mini Arsenal) in a gritty London derby. Watch out for Antonee Robinson—his sparkling form could catch the eye of new USA head coach Mauricio Pochettino. World Cup, here we come! Just kidding.
Liverpool vs. Nottingham Forest
Nathan’s Prediction: 3-0 Liverpool
Seth’s Prediction: 3-0 Liverpool
Liverpool's winning this one, no doubt about it. We should definitely put some money on it... Well, maybe not. But honestly, this feels like a guaranteed win. Should we take the risk? No, better to play it safe... but then again, it’s practically a sure thing, right?
Brighton vs. Ipswich Town
Nathan’s Prediction: 2-0 Brighton
Seth’s Prediction: 3-2 Brighton
After drawing against Arsenal two weeks ago fair and square, sorry Arsenal fans I had to, we're calling a big Brighton win against Ipswich Town at home. Also, why are so many games this weekend tempting to bet on?
Aston Villa vs. Everton
Nathan’s Prediction: 3-1 Aston Villa
Seth’s Prediction: 2-0 Aston Villa
Everton’s rough start this season isn't about to improve. Unless Everton returns from the international break brimming with confidence and four new defenders, Villa’s going to steamroll them.
Man City vs. Brentford
Nathan’s Prediction: 2-0 Man City
Seth’s Prediction: 3-0 Man City
Man City is going to win again—no surprise there. The only thing I don't understand is why Nathan predicted a 2-0 win when Haaland is almost certainly going to score another hat trick. Man City will keep winning and stay at the top of the table until Haaland and KDB get abducted by aliens—which seems unlikely.
Bournemouth vs. Chelsea
Nathan’s Prediction: 2-1 Chelsea
Seth’s Prediction: 2-1 Chelsea
Even though a draw is probably the most likely outcome, our bias is showing here, and we apologize. Will we see a new—and I’m not sure if we can say "improved"—Chelsea attack with Jadon Sancho? Well, it's definitely an improvement over watching Mudryk. Side note: I saw a post on X from a Chelsea fan comparing Mudryk to Neymar, and I told him to get his eyes checked. How ridiculous.
Tottenham vs. Arsenal (GOTW)
Nathan’s Prediction: 1-1 Draw
Seth’s Prediction: 2-1 Spurs
The game of the weekend, hands down, is the North London Derby—arguably the best rivalry in the Prem. Arsenal come into this match battered and bruised, but they're playing Spurs... and Spurs usually find a way to "Spurs." Not this time, though. Spurs' midfield should be able to control possession against Arsenal, but they’ll need to capitalize on their chances. We can’t wait for this one!
Wolves vs. Newcastle
Nathan’s Prediction: 4-1 Newcastle
Seth’s Prediction: 2-0 Newcastle
After an exciting North London Derby, we wrap up the weekend with a much more average matchup: Wolves vs. Newcastle. On paper, Newcastle should dominate this Wolves side—but we thought the same two weeks ago, and look how that turned out.
That concludes our predictions of Matchday #4! Thanks for reading and subscribing. If you have any suggestions or ideas for future emails, we'd love to hear from you—just reply to this message with your thoughts. See you Tuesday for our rundown of next week’s games.
